My Favorite Christmas Ornaments 2020

I am convinced I have never met an ornament that I didn’t like or appreciate. In fact, when the hubs and I see other people’s decorations I will always say that I appreciate the enthusiasm for Christmas even if I would not personally buy that same decor. Everyone has different tastes and styles.

I have a mix of ornaments from the years, some special or personalized, some from trips, and some “filler” ornaments too. I know some people like to pick a theme and decorate their tree with a theme like all one color, or rustic buffalo plaid, or a winter wonderland theme for example. I have a cousin who buys all new ornaments and lights each year for her tree and every year she decorates it in a different color. Everyone is different!

I have more ornaments than I will take the time to list and I have more favorites than I can count. But, remember this year I only decorated one tree and not five so I have very limited Christmas decor out this year. I went with a semi neutral pallet o mostly golds and silvers because our house is for sale, and I only pulled out a handful of personal ornaments from the box of ornaments normally used for the tree in our den.

So, my favorites on our one tree this year are:

1) The personalized felt ornaments I ordered from DusiCrafts last year for the babies. I’m not even sure how I stumbled upon her Instagram page but I was intrigued. Her work is so meticulous and handmade. I ordered bones for the pups and a fish for Prince (our cat). You can shop her Etsy page here. She has a ton of ornament designs!

2) The personalized ornaments sent to me from Life With Beauty Designs. We connected on Instagram as well, and Gloria sent me these for free as a thank you for inspiring her/introducing her to Hope City. Isn’t that neat?? You can shop her Etsy site here. She designs jewelry. =}}

3) Ornaments with pictures of my boys, Romeo & Beckett. I make sure to honor them every year.

4) Ornaments of our family. I plan to make one this year using our Christmas card photo as well. Last year’s will always be extra special because we had just rescued Luigi and Loretta. Luigi was about 4 months old in the photo and Loretta was SOOOO sick and half of her weight now.

5) My photo ornament of me and Mammaw at Christmas Eve service 2016. I was struggling that Christmas and it meant everything to me to be with my family. I accidentally deleted the up-close image of it on the tree this year so instead of walking back downstairs I’m just pulling this photo from least year. =) You can see it on the tree on the left kinda middle area.

6) One of my bestie’s gave me this ornament this year (yesterday in fact) and I love it soooo much! It literally looks like the back of our heads. 🖤 Personal gifts like this mean so much to me.

Here is our 9 foot flocked tree in all her glory. I had a time finding a tree collar to fit the 28” base, but I like the one I finally found.

What about you and your ornaments? Do any of yours have special memories?

You can view my previous post showing my favorite ornaments that (would be) on my Christmas tree in the den. I shared it in 2018.

Wishing you all a blessed day!
