TGIF - If you saw this post in emails last week OOPSIE! I had changed the posting date but didn’t delete the original version. FAIL. So, here it is again. =)

This was a much “easier” week for me and I have been basking in every moment of that “easiness”. I’d go into detail but I’ll spare you all. ;)

Today I am linking up to share my recent favorites. They somehow turned into all fitness related things but that’s OK. I’ll save the other favorites for next week!

Aerie work out clothes: Offline.

I cannot believe I just typed that (because of my age), but hear me out.

The hubs purchased some items for me from Aerie for Christmas and we ALL got a really good laugh when I opened the items because the size he seems to think I wear wouldn’t have even fit on one thigh (when I held the pants up to look at the waist size). I laughed and laughed and laughed. Sweet man. SMART MAN.

The work out leggings and bras he bought were SUPER soft and buttery/luxe feeling so it was a shame they would never have fit me. So, we went to the mall to return the items only I couldn’t return them because the hubs didn’t have his wallet with him so I had to do an exchange. I took a guess at my size, picked some items, got 2 cents back, and prayed for the best.

Well, the waist could be a little tighter but otherwise they fit great and are so, so, so soft that I struggle not to sleep in the leggings. Trust me. You hardly notice they’re on and you WILL want to wear them all day including to bed.

The sports bra fits well and it very flattering, but I wouldn’t wear it to run as it’s more for show than for support. I love the straps and the fit, too.

I sized UP on both the pants and the sports bra.

Bala bangles. (See pic above!)

I’d been reading about these as Christmas gift ideas and listed it for my Secret Santa. They’re so great! You can buy them in .5 pound, 1 pound, or 2 pound weights. They attach by Velcro around your wrist (or ankles I guess). I’ve enjoyed them because I can add a little weight to my arm movements while walking or running and not have to have something in my hand. They add a little oomph when I do use weights. And they’re more aesthetically appealing than regular ol’ arm weights AND stay in place better than regular ol’ arm weights. There’s a ton of colors/patterns to choose from now too. I’ve linked several options below.

Brooks Glycerin 18. (See pic above!)

I’ve been an Asics Gel Nimbus fan for years and they’ve been wonderful for my knees when I run. The hubs knew I was needing new running shoes and decided to get me Brooks for Christmas. I confirmed that the Brooks Glycerin is the comparable cushioning to the Asics Gel Nimbus so I ordered the color I wanted and they are definitely cushy! I’m very pleased and even love the color. I like simple, plain colors for my work out shoes - I suspect because I mainly work out in black 99% of the time. If you’re needing new work out shoes give these a try! I size up 1 full size for running shoes.

The Mirror.

It’s expensive, but man is it GREAT! Every time I use it I am sore for three days and that includes the 15 minute strength straining class I took recently. 😣

I know it’s an investment, but I like the easy availability to work out at home. It’s $40 a month after you purchase it and you can have six family members registered for their own profiles. Do the math! It pays itself off versus a gym membership + no Covid 19 exposure + no excuses that you forgot your work out clothes or have to drive to the gym!

I guess while I’m at it I’ll go ahead and share my beloved treadmill.

I’ve been so happy that we got this thing over a year ago because my ability to get to the gym significantly decreased when we adopted Loretta and Luigi. Fast forward 5 months and everything shut down for Covid and well, here we are!

Yes, it is an investment too. But, it has more than paid itself off for even JUST me using it this past year. When it’s hot outside I use the treadmill. When it’s raining outside I use the treadmill. When it’s humid outside I use the treadmill. When I’m tired and not motivated I use the treadmill. When I want to read or Pinterest I use the treadmill. It’s my go to exercise.

It has a holder for your iPad, but also a ledge I just sit it on. It inclines, has various speeds, and various programs. It’s not the most complex treadmill out there, but it’s a reasonable price with everything I need.

What are your favorite things from this week? I’ll be kicking off some fun Valentine’s post on Monday so make sure to check back here. I have five already lined up!
