April showers bring May flowers. I’m sure you’ve heard that saying a ton! But, there is something about spring’s fresh showers that really do revive the plants and flowers outside.

I’ve always loved the rain and get a sense of energy on rainy days. I know that is quite the opposite of most who feel lethargic on rainy days, but they truly make me want to throw on some boots and a baseball cap and get moving. It’s the perfect opportunity to bust out those cute rainboots and duck boots that spend way too much time in the closet. *Ahem…I’m talking about you Mr. Hunter Boots.

So, I thought I’d share some rainy day styles that will keep you feeling cute and eager to get outside to run errands this spring!

I decided to stick to two of my top stores to shop at: Lulu’s and Target. I considered adding in Old Navy and J Crew Factory, etc. but then figured I’m getting carried away! So, I’ll stick to these two stores for now along with some other items I personal love to throw on and go when it’s raining out.

First up - Lulu’s.

Have you shopped here yet? It’s an online only store and I have been thrilled with them for years now. They have some great sales and some great clearance prices which is when I tend to buy a lot of my staple items. I also purchase many formal dresses from them both regular priced or when on clearance. It’s hard to beat their prices and what I love is the reviews. I read the reviews on items before I buy them and it truly helps me figure out which size to get when I see other ladies sharing their height, weight, dimensions, and pictures. The sizing is relatively consistent for me, but you never know. Some items may have reviews that say it runs large or small so I’ll know to size up or down. They also make the return process easy.

Most of these items come in multiple color options!

Next up is Target. If you’re anything like me, then you know overall Target does a great job on keeping up with styles, trends, and prices. I do not shop there as often as I used to because I do not like our Target’s new layout - but I used to go there and peruse the entire store. I’d go for coffee and come out $150 later with a cartful. Most of these items come in multiple color options!

Other one off items that are my go to’s for rainy days…

3) Hunter Boots - I mean…how could I not? They’re pricey but you can find them on sale periodically, not to mention that about 6 months ago they were at my local Ross store for about $70. MIND BLOWN. I contacted the friends I knew who wore the sizes that I saw and ended up buying multiple pairs for other people. =) I adore these boots and they’re actually quite warm too.

The red pair were my first to purchase many years ago and the hubs got me the black ones. Given that I don’t get to wear them super often I refuse to buy more, but if I lived where it rained and was cool often I would totally splurge on more colors.

You can click on any of the images to shop those items (if they’re still in stock) and/or you can click here to shop all the styles available of Hunter Boots.

4) Duck boots - I love these so much. They’re easy to pull on and very warm too. You can find so many brands now and I don’t know how I can’t find a photo of me in the two pairs that I own. You can click here to see the selection of brands of duck boots at DSW.

Here’s a few of my fave Sperry’s, but as you may know Sperry has a ton of duck boot options for women.

PS - you can find duck boots (including Sperry’s) at Marshall’s and TJ Maxx often at a fraction of the cost.
