Happy Friday, friends. I hope you’ve had an amazing week.
I’ve been here, there, and everywhere lately yet cannot quiet the mind in between so I thought I’d draft a post to share some recent faves. I have shared plenty of favorites along the way in various posts, but surprisingly haven’t shared an actual “Friday Favorites” post since March 2021. I’m not sure why I stopped doing this specific post style, but here we are. It’s Friday and I have favorites to share.
I am linking up to share these in no particular order.

All the fall things.
I love the fall season which means: leaf peeping, fall events, fall scented candles, pumpkin decor, Halloween decor, and of course all the fall outfits and boots.
I just returned from a very last minute leaf peeping trip to Maine and it was AMAZING in every way. If you’ve ever attempted to visit anywhere for fall foliage, then you know there is an element of wanting to plan the trip but you have to watch the foliage predictive maps as the season approaches etc. as it changes every year based on the weather. The maps are interactive so you can gauge when the colors are changing and when it is projected to peak. The problem with these trips is that it is easy to miss the “right” time and travel can be difficult. Hotels rates are more expensive and book up in advance, flight prices are higher, rental car prices are higher, and tours book up in advance as well.
Examples of the states that were on my radar are below. You can click on the map image and be taken to their interactive map that projects the foliage stages and peaking.
I’ll likely share more about my trip to Maine for fall foliage in another post soon, but here’s a teaser. ;)

Did I mention fall outfits? Fall colors are my favorite wardrobe colors including black because black is timeless to me year-round. Fall and winter clothes are my favorite wardrobe items and I rarely get to wear them because Houston’s fall and winter temps are sketchy at best. So when I travel to somewhere cooler I try to wear all my favorite things. However, when in Houston I also try to integrate as much “fall style” as possible into my outfits even when it’s 90 degrees outside. So yes, I consider it a fall outfit if I wear a fall colored cardigan over my work out clothes or if my work out clothes are in the fall seasonal colors. =)))
You can shop my fall collection of posts by clicking here. (I do add my fall work athleisure to this collection as well as to my gym clothes collection.

Halloween movies. I will admit I do not branch too far away from the same revolving three with a couple of others being pulled into the mix occasionally that I don’t actually watch but will put on to have on in the background. I rotate The Addams Family, The Addams Family Values, and Hocus Pocus. I occasionally add in Hotel Transylvania and Beetlejuice. Halloween movies just aren’t my thing per se, but I have allowed Freeform to play on the TV while I’m doing all the life things and have noticed Witches, Edward Scissor Hands (I know I’ve seen this or parts of it when I was younger), The Nightmare Before Christmas (I’ve never watched this), Casper (might have seen this sometime when younger but not sure), and Hotel Transylvania 2 (same, haven’t watched it). Anyway, I’m trying to spice it up this year by letting Halloween movies play in the background until Oct. 17th when The Countdown to Christmas begins on Hallmark. ;)
All this to be said, my point in sharing is that I have laughed repeatedly at both of The Addams Family movies each year. The characters are top notch, their quips are amazing, and the storylines are amusing. If you haven’t watched these recently, I highly recommend.

Christmas jammies. Yes, it’s early to discuss this even for me…however, the time is upon us.
Old Navy has FINALLY come out with jersey knit Christmas pajamas. Y’all. You have no idea how wonderful this is for those of us who live where it can 70+ degrees and humid on Christmas day, much less any given day during December. They have jersey knit shorts, jersey knit pants, jersey knit pajama sets. They are soft, stretchy, and lightweight. I AM SO HAPPY. They still have their usual flannel and waffle knit material options as well but I’ve always gotten too warm sleeping in those.
PSA: all of their pajamas have family matching options as well. =)))

(These also come in non-holiday solids and prints.)
They pair well with these holiday shirts and sweatshirt. I have ordered both. The t-shirts run large and are super soft. The sweatshirt is lightweight and soft, not scratchy.

(The t-shirts come in additional holiday print options and the sweatshirt comes in other non-holiday and Halloween options.)

Their flannel pajama pants, flannel pajama joggers, flannel sleep shorts, flannel pajama shorts set, and flannel pajama pant sets come in various holiday prints including a Disney holiday line. Their waffle knit pajama leggings and waffle knit pajama tops come in various holiday prints.
REMINDER: ALL OF THE ABOVE have family matching options!!

Kitchen decor.
I walked into Walmart the other day and found myself standing in front of this Pioneer Woman scalloped cutting board and a Thyme and Table dotted serving dish/tray. There was no need for them, but they were so pretty. I did manage to talk myself out of the dotted serving tray.
I’ve lusted over the Thyme and Table dotted dishes for years but never wanted to commit to them and ultimately purchased white dishes. Recently they have come out with additional dotted items such as the service tray, service bowl, salad serving bowl, bread pan, etc. They’re just so pretty! But I have plenty of pretty things for hosting.
ANYWAY, a month+ ago I came across the marble and wood cutting board and marble platter stand at Walmart as well. Same thing for the bronze salt and pepper grinders from Target. It wasn’t logic. It was love.
So, now every time I make my coffee right next to these I pause to look at them. It’s silly, but it’s the little things sometimes that bring a little spark of joy. (The vertical set of 3 wooden cutting boards I purchased years ago at Hobby Lobby.)
