Halloween Movies to Watch This Month

I hope you had a great weekend. We’re two weeks away from Halloween and I’m trying to soak up every bit of this season. I thought I’d share a list of Halloween movies I aim to watch before the holiday is over. These are all family friendly because I personally do not like to watch scary or gory movies.

Some of these I watch every year and some of these I haven’t seen before or haven’t seen in a really long time.
Hocus Pocus - This a must watch for me every year!
Addams Family - I love this movie in every way and enjoy it every year.
Addams Family Values - Another great one that I watch yearly. MALIBU BARBIE. If you know, you know.
Ernest Scared Stupid - I haven’t seen this one in a long time and am excited to watch it again. The creepy witchy lady used to scare me as a kid.
The Witches - I loved this movie as a kid! I am going to watch the original version AND the new version.
The Haunted Mansion - This has Eddie Murphy in it and I don’t think I’ve ever seen it.
ET - It has been decades since I’ve watched this movie.
Edward Scissor Hands - I remember really liking this movie and am excited to see it again.
The Wizard of Oz - I know this isn’t particularly a Halloween movie, but with the witches in it I thought its suitable. I haven’t seen it since I was 18 or 19 and someone had synched it up with a Pink Floyd song - that was an interesting experience.
Buffy the Vampire Slayer - I used to LOVE this movie!
Casper - I remember Christina Ricci was in this movie, but I’m not sure if I ever did see it. I’m sure I must have.
Lemony Snicket’s A Series of Unfortunate Events - I haven’t seen this before.
The Nightmare Before Christmas - I haven’t seen this movie either!
Coraline - This will be a new one for me as well.
It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown - I used to love Charlie Brown movies! I haven’t seen this in decades. Very excited! LOL - I know I’m over 40, but it’s sentimental.
Ghostbusters - I’ve only seen snippets of this movie.
Muppets Haunted Mansion - I love the Muppets and am eager to see this one, too!
Gremlins - I’ve never seen this movie.
Beetlejuice - Always a good watch!
Hotel Transylvania - I’ve seen snippets of this movie over the years and think it’s super cute!
