Hello weekend!

Praise the good Lord it is Friday again and we have a fun weekend ahead of us. And if it’s not a fun weekend, well at least it’s the weekend! Today is my Great Aunt Veila’s 94th birthday. Yesterday was my dad’s birthday. And tomorrow is my Granny’s 92nd birthday!

I’m linking up today to share some recent faves. It’s been a while since I’ve had time to sit down to write so I’m stealing time tonight at 11:11pm to start this while intermittently dealing with our three pups. Never a dull moment around here…that’s for sure!

Y’all. I cannot even begin to explain how AMAZING this Waterpik - toothbrush/flosser is. It is like leaving the dentist’s office, refreshing clean every time. EVERY TIME. I am obsessed.

I asked my former dentist a couple of years ago if I should get a water flossing device. She told me no…my teeth are not super tight together and I didn’t need it…that it would be a waste of money. I appreciated that advice at the time. It saved me money and hassle to have one more thing on my counter. Fast forward to my parents talking about how much they love their water flossing device and I thought, well…maybe I’ll ask my current dentist. They said it couldn’t hurt to use one, but isn’t necessary. THEN…I see a commercial somewhere/sometime about this two-in-one toothbrush AND flossing Waterpik. I figured…why not try it? Santa had been asking me for ideas so I provided this as (literally) the only thing I wanted for Christmas.

I am here to tell you that it is LIFE-CHANGING. It is so refreshing every time. I don’t know if it’s a placebo effect, but I swear my mouth and teeth feel cleaner than when I used my Oral-B electric toothbrush and then flossed. The brushing button stays on automatically for two minutes unless you turn it off before that. The Waterpik flossing button is optional so you do not have to use it every time you brush.

Is it a splurge? Perhaps… But there is a reason why the hubs is now using MY toothbrush (with his own toothbrush head) every day!!!! We love it!

I jokingly said the best part of waking up is no longer coffee…it’s to brush my teeth! I wish I was kidding.. ;)

Addidas.

Why?

Because I ended up with gift card and thought they were cute. Turns out, they are one of the most comfortable casual/daily shoes I’ve tried. It literally feels like I’m walking on a cloud. If only my running shoes could feel so gentle…

But, in all seriousness I love them! Just as much as I love these…

These shoes are so super comfy! I have them in apricot and in black. I ordered the same size in both colors (look at their size chart), but the black pair are looser than the apricot. That being said, I never think twice when I wear the either pair because they are so comfortable.

I initially ordered the apricot color, and once I tried them on I immediately ordered the black pair. You cannot go wrong with these. The soles come out for easy washing too!

I bought this swimsuit cover up last year and regretfully refrained from buying it in white because I would undoubtedly stain it with my self tanner. I have loved the black one though and got complimented on it several times on my recent trip. Well, lucky for you it is finally back in stock because even as of a couple of weeks ago it wasn’t!

Your’s truly is going to order it in white right now so that I don’t regret not having it again. The hubs and I are going somewhere tropical next month and I will be prepared to be in a swimsuit…even if I am covered the whole time. And, I am OK with that!

The one piece swimsuit I’m wearing I ordered from Amazon last year as well.

Y’all. I read about this from another blogger and decided to order it despite my inner self saying no, we haven’t had enough cold weather this year. Fortunately, despite the long shipping time, it was super soft, light, VERY flowy (not rigid), and flattering. I opted to keep it and have worn it twice now.

Cereal.

I love it. I have always loved it. I have spent many years not eating it because it is not very healthy and let’s be honest here…my favorite cereal is Lucky Charms anyway and there is ZERO health qualities in that! Well, in the last six months or so I have been bombarded with ads for Keto cereals and decided to try three different brands. Catalina Crunch, Magic Spoon, and Cereal School.

My honest opinion (and unfortunately I am not being sponsored for this):

Catalina Crunch is my favorite of the three. It is crunchy enough to nibble on as a snack and to withstand any type of milk and not get soggy. It was my first Keto cereal attempt, and after the two others I went back to it. I think it has the shape of Captain Crunch cereal (although I don’t know that I’ve ever eaten Captain Crunch in my life).

Magic Spoon is great! All of the flavors are shaped like Cheerios, but they are a little too sweet in comparison to Catalina Crunch. I would eat Magic Spoon cereal any day, don’t get me wrong. It was wonderful. I just preferred the texture and less sweetness of Catalina Crunch. The frosted was my favorite to try.

Cereal School. YUCK. I disliked this so much and I hate to say it. Lack of flavor perhaps, but the overall issue for me was texture. The texture was like burnt, dried out cardboard. I tried and tried to adjust to it because it is clearly not cheap to buy Keto cereal, and even added other gluten free cereals to it and for some reason I just hate it. Capital H. Hate. So, I have a box of unopened packages of this at home if anyone wants to try it?? These came in individual serving packages versus a larger, typical cereal bag.

I think that sums it up for now. Hopefully I’ll find time or thoughts to share again soon. Or heck, even find the energy to try new recipes again soon! In the mean time, please don’t forget to utilize the recipe feature above to save or share your favorite ones before they’re gone forever and ever (maybe?).

Have you come across anything fun and new lately? Anything fun happening this weekend?

XOXO
