How is your week treating you so far? I thought I’d break up the last couple of (previous Home Tour posts) by sliding in an Amazon Lately post about all of the items I’ve ordered recently for FALL. I just got back from one fall oriented trip and will be leaving on another this weekend. 🍂🍁Given that my weight has shifted a bit I’ve need to order new clothes lately, hence why you have seen a LOT of new outfits lately from me. I’m trying to revamp my closet while not particularly spending to much. Some of the items I ordered were total fails, which I will not be bothering you with on here. Some of the items I ordered were great, just didn’t fit me well and I’ll share them and the reason why as they may work for others. And of course, I will be sharing items that were a success.

Our fall weather in Houston is typically warm to very hot. So I try to mix in short sleeved items where I can and add in layers. When I travel to colder places I get to wear more sweaters, coats, and shawls and I thrive in that type of attire. Oh, how I wish I lived somewhere cooler… But, I digress.

1) SLEEVELESS SWEATERS

These sleeveless sweaters were very soft and very pretty in colors. I returned them because they were too loose for my preference. I would recommend them though as they would be nice under layers like a cardigan, blazer, or jacket and can potentially be worn to the office. In fact, if I able to wear normal clothes more often I would likely have kept them! Each one comes in multiple color options.

2) CAPPED SLEEVE SWEATERS

I liked this cap sleeve sweater so much I ordered it a second time in black. 🖤 It is soooo soft and I like the band at the bottom that shows you have a waistline versus hanging strait down. If you follow me on my LTK profile, then you have seen this shared various times already. It also comes in a bright pink which is very pretty, but my go-to is usually black or neutrals.

3) SKIRTS

I don’t know what it is but I love everything about this skirt. It’s a great length for my height and can be worn with knee high boots, over the knee boots, flats, mules, booties, or heels… I have styled it with every which one. I’m debating on order more of the various color options they have. It’s a wool feel but not thick and thus not hot.

This plaid skirt was very cute, but I returned it for three reasons: it felt a little too young for me with the slit, it fit perfectly but I would size up if I ordered it again because it rode up when I walked, and the particular I received had a sewing defect. I considered trying the next size up, but haven’t yet. So, it wasn’t a total fail, it’s a mixed review. 😉

I really wanted to love this black and white leopard (cheetah?) skirt, but it was too big in the overall fit so I had to return it. Good quality, though, with a thicker material. With tights and booties it would have been very cute!

4) CARDIGANS

I had high hopes for these two cardigans, but the overall fit for both was large and the sleeve lengths were too long for me, so I had to return them. For my taller peeps, they may work on you!

5) SHAWLS / PONCHOS / SCARVES

I love to wear ponchos and shawls. I think because our weather is frequently warmer, it is a warm alternative to a jacket that isn’t so warm I need to take it off when we go inside.

These are both soft and roomy and great for the holidays, too. They can be worn with jeans, slacks, skirts, or dresses. Dressed up or down. I like the flexibility of a shawl/poncho.

I returned the red and black one because EVEN THOUGH the description says red and black, the photo (to me) appeared to have hints of dark pink in it. It was beautiful, but it was red and black and white and ultimately too closely resembles a shawl I already own.

The scarf is soft and contains various shades of brown which I am vibing with this season and I do not have any scarves that flow well with a black and cognac outfit. This works perfectly!
