Hello friends,
I hope you had a lovely Thanksgiving holiday with your family and friends. Mine was mostly quiet at home this year and as I was winding down my evening using my Truvaga and my Currentbody Skin Face and Neck LED masks it occurred to me that these more expensive items may be on sale for Black Friday.
And thus, this last minute blog post idea was born.
Not going to lie though, I had FINISHED this post and didn’t save it properly so I lost it all. I debated on drafting it again or letting it go as a total loss. Well, it’s just before midnight and I have decided to start this post over again from scratch. UGH.
I’m sharing some legitimate splurges that I have either purchased before, purchased this week, or want to purchase. These are not the average gift price points for anyone much less the average price I’d spend on myself for most anything. So, while these can* make excellent gifts for a significant other they are less likely to be a general gift guide type of item.
You can pin this to Pinterest to save it for later regardless of Black Friday timing.
In no particular order:
1) Truvaga Plus: I mentioned this in a recent Friday Favorties post and have been using it twice a day since November 4th (except for when I traveled and I could have taken it with me, but I didn’t and wish I did). I have noticed a significant improvement in my anxiety and emotional regulation since I started using it. I look forward to it as well. Here’s some research on the benefits of stimulating the vagus nerve: https://www.physicianspreferencevitamins.com/vagus-nerve-support/
It’s a 2 minute session, twice a day. If I am not able to use it in the morning then I double down in the evening. The Truvaga Plus is more expensive but is rechargeable and has unlimited sessions. The original one has a limited number of sessions on it, but is less expensive.
Shop the Truvaga Plus here. Use code BFCM2025 for 15% off.
2) Currentbody Skin Face & Neck Kit:
This is what I mentioned using above as well. You can purchase the face mask and the neck mask separately with no Black Friday deals, but if you bundle them then you get 10% off. These types of masks are all the rage for many reasons like fine line reduction, redness reduction, etc.
3) Lyma Laser:
I read about this laser months ago on Real Self and it’s been on my radar versus purchasing treatments at a dermatologist or beauty salon (Is that what they’re called? I don’t even know). This is a very expensive laser whether you purchase the original Lyma Laser or the Lyma Laser Pro. The difference is the effectiveness, the quickness of results, and the diameter of the laser itself. I so desperately want the Lyma Laser Pro, but haven’t yet wrapped my mind around the price point despite all of the rave reviews I’ve read on various sites.
The original Lyma Laser is 25% off and the Lyma Laser Pro is 20% off.
4) Waterpik Sonic Fusion 2.0:
I have shared this many times before. Everyone who has subsequently purchased it loves it. My dentist and dental hygienists rave about my teeth being clean. And, I gifted these to many family members in 2023. I love this thing.
It is currently $40 off for Black Friday.
5) Random pricier things I purchased this week:
ASICS Gel Nimbus 27: I have started purchasing new running shoes around this time every year as I have put more than enough mileage running in my shoes each year. Asics came out with their new Gel Nimbus version and it is $50 off for Black Friday both on the Asics site and on Amazon. You can get an additional $50 off if you spend $250 on the Asics site as well.
I size up one full size for running shoes. There’s ample colors to choose from, but I tend to aim for all white if I can (and yes, they get very dirty).
Vitamix Explorian E310 Series: I don’t have a blender and while I haven’t had a need for one, I figured I should get one. Instead of getting a basic blender (not that there’s anything wrong with that), I opted to get a Vitamix because I previously lived in a home with one and worked in an office with one. I’m not a smoothie kind of gal so I know it won’t get used much so I opted for the smaller version over the original version. It is currently $80 off both on the Vitamix site and on Amazon. All of their blenders are also on sale for Black Friday,
That sums it up for now. I realize these are not necessarily gift ideas given the price point, but perhaps it may be a gift to yourself or for a significant other.
I may share some gift ideas soon of things I have purchased or am considering purchasing for others. I like to do that each year, but sometimes the days just get away from me…

XOXO
